Weapons and crates: what each pickup is for

Guns come from crates. Opening the box is not the same as holding the weapon, and the next crate may be the same gun again.

Weapons and crates: what each pickup is for

Crates, not the shop

Combat weapons come from crates during the round. The Coin shop is for looks: shirts, pants, hats, crowns, colors, patterns, and stickers. Do not search the shop for a shotgun.

You can start unarmed. Opening a crate and owning the weapon are two steps. Stay close enough to pick up the drop, and tell a teammate when the box is something they need more than you do.

New crates fall in during the fight. Some land next to the other team. If an armed pig is already on that box, look for a different one.

Named weapons

These names appear in public guides. Damage, fire rate, and magazine size do not.

Weapon Known behavior
Shotgun Heavy close hit. Use cover to get near. Keep distance if they have it
Revolver Rapid shots. Misses cost ammo
Bow Charge before the shot. Needs space
Crossbow Listed separately from the rocket crossbow
Rocket crossbow Explosive knockback. Dangerous near edges
Grenade launcher Impact damage on a direct hit. Not the rocket crossbow
Minigun Also described as a machine gun. Treat rapid fire as one pickup until the game shows two names at once
Pebble Flinger Crate weapon. No published stats
Paintball gun Crate weapon. No published stats
Flamethrower Crate weapon. No published stats
Bug Zapper Named with the crate pool. No published stats
Shield Can appear instead of a gun and can break

Ammo habit

A weapon can run completely dry. Another crate can hand you the same gun again, so do not path across the other team hoping the next box is a different name. In a team round, notice where partners are looting so you search the other side of the arena.

Left-click fires on PC. Reload exists as a combat action in the guides, without a published key.

What not to wait for

Do not hold a round hostage looking for one favorite gun. Take the weapon that drops, move to a shot you can see, and replace it when it is empty.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you win a match in PIGSHOT?

Win three rounds before the other player or team. A 2-0 lead still needs one more round, and 2-2 makes the next round the decider. Eliminating the opponent takes a 1v1 round. In a team match, the other side has to be eliminated before the round is yours.

Do you start a round with a gun?

No. Rounds can start with you unarmed. Weapon crates drop guns during the fight, and opening a crate does not reserve the weapon for you. Another pig can pick up what falls out.

Where is the code box?

Finish the tutorial first. In the lobby, open Shop at the bottom of the screen, then Codes at the upper right of the Shop window. Paste the code into Enter Code and select Redeem.

What are the PC controls that guides actually list?

Left-click fires, Space jumps, and C slides. Look at a zip line and press Space to get on it. Double jump, flip, and the grappling hook are part of the movement kit, but published guides do not give separate key binds for the hook or the flip.

What do the Robux game passes do?

Published prices are known. What each pass changes in a match is not. Read the purchase description on the Roblox prompt before you buy. Barn Runner is 49 Robux, 2X Speed is 149, Turbo Trotter is 199, Golden Hoof and 2x Bacon are 499 each, and The Arsenal is 4,999.
