Pick a format on purpose
PIGSHOT has 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3. Solo is the duel. Duo lines up with 2v2. A server can hold 20 players, which is larger than any of those teams.
Finish the tutorial before you join friends. The lobby menus, including Shop, stay locked until those three tutorial eliminations are done. A friend who cannot open Shop yet still needs that intro.
Who takes the crate
Agree before the round if you can.
- In a 1v1, the crate race is the whole opening. Watch the other pig's path as well as yours.
- In a 2v2, one callout of position or low health is enough for the partner to follow up.
- In a 3v3, three pigs on one box block each other. One loots, the others cover or take a second crate.
An unarmed teammate needs the pickup before they can cover you. Do not stand in front of a partner who is shooting. Pigs can physically get in each other's way.
Useful lines stay short: you need a gun, a shotgun is nearby, an enemy is on the right, someone is low, you are reloading.
Fighting as a group
Get armed, then join. Showing up empty-handed adds a body to protect. If your gun runs dry, say so and path to another crate instead of pretending you can still trade.
When a partner marks a weak enemy, shoot that pig if the angle is clear. Starting your own chase can leave the partner in a 1v2.
Movement is shared space. A grapple, rail, or zip line that dumps you on top of the team does not help. Land where you can see an enemy and still get back.
Between matches
Coins, daily tasks, and cosmetics are individual. You do not need the same hat to queue together. You do need the same plan for the first crate.
